Hi I'm Linda Ann

I'm a Mormon and a native Arizonan.

About Me

I am 59 years old and love living in my small mountain community in Arizona. My husband and I have been married for 41 years and have 5 daughters, 5 son-in-laws and 15 grandchildren. I work as an office manager for a glulam beam manufacturing plant. Over the years I have had many hobbies, but currently I enjoy making applique quilts that will someday go to my children. The most important thing about my hobbies is that I keep my hands busy. It is the journey - not the destination.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church. My parents joined the church as teenagers and have been very converted from the day they joined. They taught me church principles all my life but I became converted after I began having children and exercised my faith one step at a time. As I tried to live each component of the gospel, my testimony grew in that one area. Now I can say that I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel I learned as a child is the way I want to live. I continue to learn line upon line - precept by precept. The Mormon faith and gospel principles have taught me how to be a better daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. I think it would be very hard to be the person I want to be without the things I learn in the church and the encouragement I get from other members. Most of all, living the precepts of the gospel make me happy to be living on this earth, happy to be a daughter of my Heavenly Father and happy to be a mother of five daughters who are exceptional women and mothers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending sacrament meetings and other church functions so I can increase my knowledge of the gospel. I try to be around other people who have learned from life and are examples to me. I remember the example that Jesus Christ set for me and try to show my love for Him by serving others - helping others in need and comforting the sad and lonely. I study the scriptures and the words of our prophets so I will have a map to follow because I know where I want to be when I leave this earth life and continue my spiritual life. I attend sacrament meetings each week so that I can take the sacrament and remember the sacrafice that Jesus Christ made for me. Because of Him, I can get up each morning and try to change my life for the better and repent of the wrongs I have done. Without His sacrifice, there would be no purpose in trying to become a better person, no purpose for enduring and learning from my trials and sacrifieses, and no purpose in serving my fellow man. I try to live my faith each day because I KNOW that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me.
