Hi I'm Eric

I am a father, a student, a brother, a friend, a son, a husband, an uncle, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 2 beautiful children and have been married to date about 3 years. I am a student and am pursuing a degree in "health sciences." I am an Eagle Scout, and was the American Legion's Eagle Scout of the year for Arizona. The greatest achievement is that of being a husband to my wife. She is a great strength to me, and an example to me of the love of Christ. I am interested in many things including hunting, fishing (though I don't do either very often) and hobbies like ceramics (which I haven't done since I was in high school).

Why I am a Mormon

I love My Father in Heaven, and Jesus Christ and I want to live with Them some day. Upon reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon I discovered that Christ established an ancient church with specific doctrines and commandments. He said that there is one baptism, one faith, and one Lord. I came to know this, and wondered if the church that my parents had brought me up in was THAT church. The love I had for God the Father and Jesus Christ was so great that I wanted to find Their church and unite myself with it. That took me on a search which led me to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Through reading and praying about the Book of Mormon I gained a testimony Joseph Smith and the veracity of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that this church is true. I testify of Jesus Christ, and the divinity of His mission. Our father Lives, and loves us, and desires us to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

The way I live my life is in direct proportion with how strong my testimony is at the moment. That is to say when I am spiritually strong I am able to resist temptation, and do what is right with more frequency than when I am weak. When I consistently read my scriptures, and go to my meetings that I am supposed to my testimony of Christ is strengthened, and I have a greater resolve to obey. Conversely when I a slack off and am disobedient in the slightest way I find myself later on beset with diverse temptations, and find that I am weaker and more susceptible to temptation.
