Hi I'm Rachelle

I work for a non-profit agency licensing foster/adoptive parents. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science and am currently working for a non-profit agency that assists individuals in the process of becoming foster parents. I enjoy the outdoors; hiking, biking, waterskiing, or running. I have had the opportunity to explore different parts of the world which has been an adventure and opened my eyes to things I never knew existed. I served a mission in Venezuela of which I am grateful everyday to have learned a language I can use on a regular basis.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that without the knowledge of the plan God has for me, I will never find true happiness. Having been raised in the church, there came a point in my life where I needed to know for myself if what I had been taught was true. I wanted to know that God was aware of me and that there was a purpose for me in this life. As I have studied the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it is true, I have experienced a feeling of peace and assurance that it is true and that I am part of the restored church of Jesus Christ, the same church He organized when He was on the earth. I have come to know for myself that God continues to call prophets today so that we can know what he would have us do. I do know that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet and that under the direction of Jesus Christ, the true church has been restored to the earth. I know that each person can know the truth if they will pray in faith and God will anwer your prayer.

How I live my faith

I enjoy the relationships I have with people in the church. I am able to receive support as well as provide it to others by visiting people in their homes or being available to help when needed. As I try to be more patient and understanding of others, it helps me to understand the love that God has for each of his children. I have come to know my Heavenly Father better as I have served the people around me. I believe we show our faith in our willingness to act. The more I am willing to do what God would have me do, the more my faith in Jesus Christ increases. I know through my faith and actions, I can return to live with them again.
