Hi I'm Janelle

I'm a wife. I love being active. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being active and I find joy in pushing myself to accomplish new things! I am a volleyball player, triathlete, and hope to be a half-marathoner. I have played the piano since I was eight years old and enjoy listening to good music. My husband and I have lived in many different places in the United States-from DC to California, Georgia, and Idaho! We both love the USA! I also love learning new things and currently want to learn more about real estate! Life is great and every day is such a blessing!

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Savior Jesus Christ with all of my heart and I know that He lives. I know that we have a loving Father in Heaven, that He is the Father of our spirits and He wants us to return to live with Him again. This is why we needed a Savior to atone for our sins. This is the plan of happiness, and it sure makes me happy! The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought so much joy to my life, and I am thankful to God for the knowledge I have of His plan. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that it is true. No science can prove or disprove a religion but the Holy Ghost can touch your heart and testify to you that it is true. In High School I was taught that it was either one or the other (science or religion) and this frustrated me because I knew that the church was true and science was 'proven' as well. Later I came to learn that science (theories) is the furthest knowledge that man can gain, BUT the Holy Ghost teaches us complete and absolute truths! The language of the Spirit is taught by feelings rather than words. It is a language felt not heard. I have felt the Holy Ghost testify of me that I have a Savior and a loving Father in Heaven. They are two separate beings, have bodies of flesh and bones, and they are one in purpose. I also know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that he did in reality see God the Father and Jesus Christ. The spirit has testified to me that that is true and that it did happen. I know that God has restored His priesthood power on the earth again today, I also know that families can be together forever, and I know that the Book of Mormon is true. These true principles have brought so much joy to my life and this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I believe in Jesus Christ and try to live my life the way that he would want me to. Obviously I am not perfect but I try! Each month I have the opportunity to visit another girl in my ward (the group I meet with on Sunday) and teach her a principle of the gospel. This is also great because I get a new friend! Another way I live my faith is by going to the LDS temples. I love attending the temples because I feel so much peace and I feel closer to God. I also try to live my faith by sharing personal experiences. I have had many prayers answered in my life. I know that my Heavenly Father answers prayers! I also know that if He answers my prayers then He will answer your prayers.
