Hi I'm Lindsey

I am one of 8 children in my family. I love being active and playing sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college. I have experienced a Study Abroad in Sweden where I was able to study the culture and language as well as gain an understanding of my ancestry. I love to play sports, my favorite being basketball and volleyball.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have lived the gospel my whole life. When I was ten I started to get involved in sporting activities that would ask me to compromise my beliefs. It was then that I had to decide if I really believed in keeping those same principles I have lived my whole life up to that point. I decided that I knew the gospel was true and it made me happy. Something as simple as missing church on Sunday for a sporting event would take away my blessings for happiness I would have received had I just gone to church and stayed home and spent time with my family instead. I have also come to gain a strong belief in the strength of the family unit and their centrality to the plan of happiness. My family is considered to be more on the bigger side with 8 kids plus my mom and dad. We have a lot of fun times together and make many memories. I could not see myself in the next life without them. We keep each other strong and support each other. If you love someone as much as you possibly could (a spouse or family member), wouldn't you want to be with them for eternity?!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. I consistently look to serve those around me whether it be through a service project or simply by sincerely complimenting them. I find joy in using my musical talents (singing, playing the piano, conducting, practicing the guitar) to bless others and help them out whenever possible. I seek to help children learn to be active and maintain a healthy lifestyle through a reach out program sponsored by my ward. I visit those in my neighborhood to check up on them, see how they are doing, give them a message of hope, and ask them if there is any way I could serve them. I visit with others on a regular bases with genuine concern on how they are doing in school, work, family life, relationships, etc.
