Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a Mormon. I am a full time mom to four beautiful kids. I love to read, play the piano, and travel.

About Me

First and for most I am a Mom. I have three daughters and one son who likes to keep everyone on their toes. I really enjoy playing the piano and reading historical fiction whenever I get a moment to myself. I love to travel with my family, my favorite place we have visited so far has been Belize. I dream of going to Italy someday. My biggest goal is to try and live in the moment, to enjoy the precious time I have with my children and not get caught up in things that really don't matter.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon. My mother however, joined the LDS church when she was 18. She said when she learned about the gospel it sounded so familiar and she knew it was right. My parents testimonies had a large impact on my beliefs, but when I went away to college I found out for myself that this gospel is true. I read the Book of Mormon, I said many personal prayers, and I recieved answers from God. I felt in my heart that Christ church had been restored to the Earth. Later in life when my mother passed away at 47 years old, I was devistated, but the truths that I had been taught came alive and I felt the love and comfort that only my Heavenly Father could provide. I grew to understand and appreciate the miracle of the atonement and the resurrection in a whole new way.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is something I do every day with my family. My husband and I read the scriptures each morning with our kids and begin the day with family prayer. Not every day is a success, sometimes there are poor attitudes or giggling during the prayer, but I know it blesses our family to consistantly do this. Currently I work with the women in our church to organize activities which will strengthen them and their families. We do service projects, learn new recipies, share parenting tips, and learn about the gospel together. Our family attends church meetings together every Sunday and participates in youth activities during the week. I live my faith by trying to always remember Jesus Christ and live as he would live. To serve as he would serve.
