Hi I'm Alyson

I love the Beatles. I'm a history teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the San Francisco Bay by the best parents ever. My mother was a school teacher and my father, a barber. They taught my siblings and I how to love and care for one another. As we have gotten older, that bond has become stronger. I am currently studying to become a school teacher. Teaching school can be difficult, but there are also so many rewards. I’m just at the beginning of my life, but the lessons I have learned from my parents and from the gospel I know I’ll be able face the future head on.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t asked myself if it was right. I’m a Mormon because I know that God lives and loved us. I know that I am His daughter. I know that our families can live together forever and that it is Heavenly Fathers plan to have all of His children with him. I know that God speaks to men today through personal revelation and a living prophet. I know that Jesus Christ is the center of the Father’s plan. I know that He lives! I know this. I know all of these things because I have studied the scriptures and then asked asked if it was true through prayer. My prayer was answers. The gospel makes sense to me and it feels right. Heavenly Father truly does answer our prayers. He loves us all. It is because all of this that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try my best ever day to be better than I was the day before. The knowledge that I have that we are God’s children helps me to be a better public school teacher. I strive everyday to live what I believe. I am a visiting teacher. By visiting the other sisters in church and sharing my testimony with them, I am the one who is strengthened.
