Hi I'm Jared

I'm a small business owner with multiple stores in the Valley of the Sun and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband to a beautiful wife and father to adorable children! They are my motivation for everything I do each day, emotionally, physically and spiritually. That may sound cliche, but thinking about them provides me with the burning desire I need to be successful as a financial provider, a leader in my family and a teacher at home. I enjoy the world of business and spend most of my time working on new ideas and projects within multiple companies. My little boy isn't sure exactly what I do, so he just says I'm a "worker man!" I'm okay with that title. I've learned the value of hard work and discipline. I love any trips with my family, but especially to the lake and to Disneyland. I love to make up songs with my children and make them laugh when we play and work together. I don't follow sports but I do get together with some friends about once a week for a few games of racquetball. I'm not a great player, but I enjoy the camaraderie and the exercise. I love to teach and am oft called upon to mentor or counsel with those struggling in business or just need some life coaching. It's great to see changes in the lives of others and to be a part of that.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ provides me with so much clarity. It gives me purpose on this earth and explains what I must do to live with God again. I have a great appreciation for the simplicity of our Heavenly Father's plan as taught in the Church. As I've grown to manhood, I've seen how the true principles of the gospel apply to my life and are such a source of strength and happiness. Sadly, I have siblings who have chosen to go a different way. I've seen firsthand how selfishness and pride can quickly destroy every ability for lasting joy in this world. It is so easy to see the blessings of keeping God's commandments. They allow me to have a trusting relationship with my wife and children. They protect me from the foolishness of pride and social pressures to take so called "easier paths". They allow me to overcome my personal weaknesses and develop favorable habits. As I have developed in my career as a businessman, I've found that the exact same principles taught in the Church allow me to be successful in the world. They are true principles that work every time they are applied to any aspect of life. Only in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints can I find all of those principles in their fullness. Only here can I make those covenants with my Father in Heaven that will allow me to be with Him again.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings with my family each Sunday. My responsibility is to ensure that all of the teachers in the congregations of our community are properly trained and are providing sound instruction with the help of the Spirit as they teach. During the week, our family gathers each morning to read from the scriptures and to discuss the principles of truth that we are studying. We dedicate each Monday night as a family night for gospel discussion and family games and songs. I visit with my children and share with them my concerns for their happiness. I teach them that happiness is a choice and that our choice to follow the teachings of Jesus brings us joy. I visit with three different families each month, first to check on their general welfare and to serve them. I share messages with them about the gospel of Jesus Christ and share my experiences with the blessings I've received by living those teachings. I've developed a love for each of those families as they have allowed me to visit them in their homes. I think the best thing is that I see the gospel of Jesus Christ applicable in everything that I do. Whether at home, at work or in a public setting there is always an opportunity to serve and provide for those around us.
