Hi I'm Cory

I'm happily married and have five wonderful kids. I'm a CFO for a local business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I choose to be a Mormon. I live in Arizona with my beautiful wife and five children. I’m a business man. I’m was raised in a family with three siblings, my parents taught me to serve others and love the Lord. At the age of 19 I was called on a mission to serve for two years of my life in Spain. A few years after returning home from my mission I fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the world and she actually married me! Shortly after I graduated with a Masters degree in accounting, obtained my CPA and started in the workforce. I am currently a Chief Financial Officer for a land developer where we develop luxury golf courses and sell people their dream lifestyles. Most importantly, I am the Father of five wonderful children who bring adventure to our lives and many rewards.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon. One of the greatest truths of the gospel is that we are "free to choose". Although I was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I was never forced to be a member. My parents taught me the principles of the gospel and then I was able to choose for myself the path that I would follow. When I was a teen ager I read the Book of Mormon for the first time in my life in its entirety and prayed to ask God if the things I had read were true and my prayer was answered that the Book of Mormon was true. Because I knew the truthfulness of the words in that book and that the gospel of Jesus Christ could bring us true happiness I wanted to share that message with others. Now that I have a family of my own I realize how great a blessing it is to know the truths of where we lived before we came to earth, why we are here on earth and where we will go after this life. Not only does it help to keep things in perspective in this crazy world but living the gospel helps us to experience true happiness while we're here on earth. Having these truths in my life is a blessing to my family as we're able to teach our children how to remain happy. Knowing that I am a child of God and that He loves me keeps me moving forward each day. One of the greatest blessings in life is my family and we are family oriented in every thing we do. I love my wife and each of our children!

How I live my faith

I try to live my life with honesty and integrity and to serve those around me. I serve in the church as one of the leaders in our area. I get to work especially close with the youth of our church. We organize fun activities for the youth centered around teaching them about Jesus Christ and how to be better citizens and Christians. While learning from each other we have a lot of fun. I work with the Scouts in our church and go on many camping expeditions, hikes and help the boys to progress to earn their Eagle badges. More importantly we teach them to honor their priesthood, respect their parents and love the Lord.
