Hi I'm Mark

I'm a convert of two years. Our family was baptized together as a family.

About Me

Just celebrated our 25th marriage anniversary this July. I'm currently Mr. Mom after working in the scientific supply distribution industry for 24 years. My wife and I adopted two girls from South Korea. They arrived here when they were six months old and they are now 12 and 14 years old. The majority of our time is spent satisfying the needs of our two girls, i.e. school activities, homework, family activities and so on. Our family enjoys going to zoos, museums and movies (we prefer sci-fi and action).

Why I am a Mormon

We are converts and we are Mormons because we always believed in Our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ and we wanted our children to have God in their lives. When we heard from the missionaries, we could relate to the Joseph Smith story as we were like him. We felt something was missing from the other religions we had investigated. When my wife, children and I visited the church for the first time, we immediately felt the spirit and enjoyed the feeling of "family" from the members. It was like the Holy spirit was telling us that our search was over and we found our home. My first activity before joining the church was a service activity to help a non-member move and that act helped seal the deal.

How I live my faith

We try our best to set an example for our two girls. I volunteer for any service project whenever possible. My calling was to be the third teacher for the third hour. This calling was perfect for me as a convert which has helped me learn the scriptures, the church and myself.
