Hi I'm Erica

I love to snowboard, scrapbook and drive motorcycles with the guys in my family even though I crashed at 70mph. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah but have lived in Arizona most of my life although we just moved to Nevada for a promotion with my husband's work. I have been married for seven years and enjoy time I get with my husband. We have a beautiful three-year-old daughter. I truly enjoy staying home with our her, even though each day she probably teaches me more than she learns from me. I love to watch her learn and grow, and there is no better feeling than when I see her personality shine! We just learned we are having another girl in August! I absolutely LOVE to go snowboarding! It is so exhilarating to fly down the mountain on a snowboard. I wish I lived closer to the mountains to be able to go all the time. I also enjoy scrapbooking. It's a lot of fun to be creative and put together scrapbooks like for my husband who served in Honduras and brother who served in Ohio after their missions. I also love to travel and would love to go to England someday and stay in a castle. I like to read books, like the Dragonlance and Twilight series, whenever I get time. I will always love to cuddle up on the couch with my hubby and watch a movie. I have enjoyed riding motorcycles with my dad, husband and brothers. My dad, brother-in-law and I were out on a ride once and I hit some gravel which sent me flying off my bike at 70mph. Completely scary, but I survived with only road-rash! I have worked in the financial field for over ten years and currently work to assist homeowners short sale their homes.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church with faithful and amazing parents. I chose to be baptized at the age of eight because I knew my Heavenly Father loves me and wants the best for me. As a teenager, I struggled with my testimony of this Gospel and even though I haven't always made the best decisions it has made me that much stronger and more faithful as an adult, wife and mother. I know there is the miracle of forgiveness that no matter what my weaknesses are I can always turn to my Heavenly Father for strength and through my Savior's sacrifice be given another chance. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God to restore the church to the earth for our time and translated the Book of Mormon. I have read the Book of Mormon and know its contents are true. I also know that Thomas S. Monson is our living prophet who currently leads and guides the Church today. I know this Gospel is true and love that I am a member! I have loved serving in the church as a Missionary and in the Young Women's program the most. I love to go to the temple and feel my Heavenly Father's and Savior's love for me. To know with all my heart that Jesus Christ is my brother and sacrificed his life for me to return to my Heavenly Father is so precious to me. I love that my family is forever because of Temple marriage and that we can return to our Father in Heaven if we live righteously!

How I live my faith

I try to choose what's right and good in my life in every aspect. Although sometimes it is difficult to live the commandments, I know it is easier to live righteously than to come back from a long road of bad decisions. I feel a peaceful and calm feeling whenever I pray and know also through my prayers that the scriptures are true. I attend church every week and love it! I enjoy seeing others' loving faces and having the opportunity to always learn and grow in the Gospel. I am grateful for Missionary work! I would not have the life I have now without it...my grandmother would not have been introduced to the Church, my parents wouldn't have met and my husband would not be a member without missionaries! I try to be an example to those around me and show that living the commandments blesses our lives.
