Hi I'm Stephanie

I am a married mother of two boys, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an at home mom of two little boys. I have an amazing husband who loves and supports me. He is the best dad I could ask for to raise my children. We are almost complete opposites, so at times that causes problems, but mostly it helps us love each other even more. I work at home part-time doing bookkeeping, belong to a Christian Mothers Group, volunteer at my son's school, and other local organizations as possible. Life is busy, hectic, but mostly wonderful.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Because of that, I was fortunate to learn basic gospel principles as a child. I was taught to love others, love myself, and love God. As I grew up, natural doubts and questions arose. How could a young man see an angel, see God, and see his son Jesus Christ? How could additional scripture be revealed in modern day? How could a prophet of God be put in place for us during these latter-days? I had to find out for myself if what I was taught was true. It ended up being very simple. God wanted it. It was part of his plan. It makes sense. God loves us, he sent his son down to earth for us, and his son (our brother) died for us! He died for me! I know this because I've asked God. He answered. He didn't answer by sending me a proclaiming angel, or yelling answers at me. I felt it in my heart. He gave me this quiet answers I was seeking. I've read the Book of Mormon. I've asked God if it is true. I asked God if he has a prophet in these days to guide us. I asked God if families can really be eternal. He told me yes. I believe him. I've asked my Heavenly Father many things over the years. I've asked for guidance in choosing a spouse, on when to have children, on where to live. He's guided me throughout my life. He's led me, as he leads our prophet. He's guided me as he guides our local Bishop. He's provided scripture for us to learn what he wants us to do, how he loves us, and how we should treat others. I am a Mormon because I've asked God if this church contained his true gospel, and I was told yes.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by finding out what God's plan is for me, and following it. I try to read my scripture daily, and pray daily. I try to be guided by the Lord each day to do as he'd like me to do. I am trying to raise my children with a knowledge that their Heavenly Father loves them. I've been teaching them how to be guided by the prophets (both latter-day as well as biblical times). I'm teaching them that families can be together after we die. I'm teaching them that their Heavenly Father loves them as an individual. I am serving in my church as I am called. I accept my calling, and try my hardest to fulfill them to the best of my ability.
