Hi I'm Jamie

I'm a stay-at-home mother of five. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After graduating from college, I taught junior high math for a year before starting my family. I now have 5 beautiful children and spend most of my time driving them all over the place. I earned my master's degree in math teaching. In what spare time I have, I love to read, watch movies, talk on the phone with my friends, and shop with coupons.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was a baby. I developed my own testimony over the years. The first time I really prayed to know if the church was true for myself happened while I was away at college. I felt the Spirit so strongly at that time that I knew that the church was true. It is something that I feel that I have always known. I love the friendships that I have because of the gospel. I continue to attend church because I can't deny the feeling that I had all those years ago and all of the blessings that I have received in my life. I owe everything I have to my Savior and doing what he asks of me is a simple way in which I can show Him my appreciation and love.

How I live my faith

I am leader in the youth group of our church. I enjoy getting to spend time with the youth and learning from them. They are so strong and have to withstand so many trials while at school and work. It amazes me that they can do all that they do do. I also am a visiting teacher. I love the visiting teaching program. I get to visit two different but wonderful women each month and spend time getting to know them. I have developed so many great and lasting friendships over the years because of this program. I love being able to talk with these women in their homes and enjoy sharing our beliefs and testimonies with each other. Some of my best friends have started out as my visiting teacher or someone I had the privilige to visit. I am grateful that my Heavenly Father knows that I need other women in my life.
