Hi I'm James

I'm a Farmer, a Father, a Pyrotechnician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, and father of 4 children. I sale fruit trees for my family in Washington State. We enjoy the diversity of Washington and its many activities. I love to cook, play games with freinds, and spending time with extended family. I am a hobbiest Pyrotechnician, my canvas is the night sky.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith. My testimony of its truthfullness has taken years to develop. I served a mission in Hawaii for the church at 19 and learned very quickly I have to find out for myself if I belived what my parents had taught me. I have to say it was a beautiful morning in Maui when i was praying and reading from the scriptures that I felt an assurance that what I was doing was right and that I knew that God lived and his son Jesus Christ did die for us that we may live. Since then things are never easy, but there are many things that can strengthen you. Most recently my wife and I decided to send her back to work in order to help with financial concerns. I had trained her how to drive commercial vehicles and she thought she would like to drive bus. This way she could see the children and help out at school through the day. In order for her to drive she had to have a physical. The doctor that examined her heard a murmor in her heartbeat. We were told to get that checked out. Later when our insurance kicked in, about 4 months later. She had an echo cardiogram and within a month she was on an operating table getting open-heart surgery. She had an aneurysm on her aorta. Her aortic valvue was also damaged due to the stress of the aneurysm. Im glad to say that yes the Lord answers prayers. I don't recall ever feeling prayers before, but I DID! I was able to give her blessing by the authority of the preisthood and knew that everything would be fine, that I wouldn't be a widower. I feel very blessed to still have her with us and just one of the many things that have strengthened my testimony that God lives and does answer our prayers.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in my community. I help with scouting and teach lessons on sunday that will enpower the youth to live stronger, more spiritual, healthy lives. I enjoy conducting the music in my local church.
