Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a husband, I'm a father, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently work as a PA. I'm an avid college football fan. I love to mountain bike - but I don't live by any mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

Initially it was because my parents were. That meant as a kid I did everything other Mormon's did. Somewhere along the line I realized that everything that really made me happy, deeply happy, was a result of the beliefs that my parents had instilled in me. A lot of that was galvanized when at 15 years old my mother died suddenly and unexpectedly. At that age it was the support of a lot of good family and friends that pulled me through that experience. In the years since it has been the promise from a loving Heavenly Father that family relationships will continue beyond this life that has allowed me to find peace with her loss. Of course being blessed with a great new mom and 6 new siblings didn’t hurt either, but that’s a story – a long story – for another time.

How I live my faith

At home I live my faith by trying to teach my 2 year old girl how to pray and read her scriptures - emphasis on the trying part. In my community I spend my time working with a lively bunch of 13 and 14 year old boys in the ward. Each Sunday I present a lesson to them and they teach me. Each Wednesday we get together and work on Eagle Scout Projects, grill burgers, work in people's yards, and have a lot of laughs together. In between Sunday's and Wednesday's we see each other around town and at functions and share a handshake or a high five.
