Hi I'm Landon

I'm a Mormon, enjoying family life in Colorado.

About Me

Hi, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially once a week on Monday night, teaching each other the gospel, participating in fun activities, and above all a great treat. I work in Information Technology working with databases. I also enjoy the out doors cycling, taking my dog on walks, and soaking in the views. I also enjoy playing my cello in the our city's civic orchestra and sometimes just having fun practicing. I have enjoyed playing basketball since starting in 4th grade and continue to play pick-up games against much younger players. I am quickly approaching mid-life and have had lots of ups and downs, but I have relied on my faith to give me the strength to get through and learn from my mistakes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am full of gratitude for the sacrifice. faith, and great heritage of my Mormon pioneer ancestors who left Nauvoo (Hebrew for Beautiful City) in 1846 under great persecution and threats of loss of life. I know and witness by the Spirit of the Lord that the Book of Mormon was translated by the prophet Joseph Smith with the gift and power of God. I know through that book and the Bible that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins. I have found great happiness and joy as I serve Him. I have grown up in the church as a fifth generation Christian-LDS and have tried to live my life as the Savior has shown me. I enjoy serving Him by being the best Father I can be with His help. I am grateful to be sealed to my wife and five children, one of which is adopted from China in a temple, even the House of the Lord. I look forward to eternally living with them and Heavenly Father in the next life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving the community by bringing awareness of the importance of exercise in daily health. I organize sporting events along with a team of church members for youth and adults for LDS congregations. We organize bike rides, hikes, basketball, volleyball, and even an annual 5k walk/run. We have a good time and have found exercise as an important way to manage my mental health along with maintaining fitness. I also enjoy sharing my talent of playing the cello, bringing the Spirit of the Lord into church meetings.
