Hi I'm Milena

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom. I have three beautiful girls ages, 9,6, and 4. As a family we love to travel, go to the beach, play in the snow, go to the movies, play games and just spend time together. My husband and I like to surprise the girls at school by showing up for lunch once in a while. I enjoy helping in their classrooms. When the weather is nice, we usually go to the park after school and play with friends. When I am not doing something with my family or for my family, I like to read, do some crafts, go shopping, and spend time with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 18 years old. No one else in my family had heard about the church. I was taught about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith's vision and many other wonderful things, and everything made sense to me. I read the Book of Mormon (the chapters that the missionaries had asked me to read) and I prayed about it. I prayed a lot to know if all the things I had learned were true. Without a doubt I received the answer. I know that this church is the only church that will allow me, if I live worthy, to return to our Father in Heaven and be with my family for all eternity.

How I live my faith

All that I do in my daily life is related to my faith. We pray together as a family and read the scriptures together. We go to church on Sundays and spend the rest of the day with our family as well as visiting others in our neighborhood. Every Monday night we gather as a family in what we call "family home evening." We sing songs, pray, discuss the gospel, and enjoy a treat and a fun activity together. It is a neat tradition that builds our unity and strengthens us as a family. My responsibilities in the church include serving in our ward (neighborhood) women's organization, which means I get to visit with other women in my area to learn about their needs and how I, and others, can help them. Everyday I try to be more like Jesus, follow His example, and serve those around me who need help and comfort. In this way, I am seeking to be a good neighbor who loves other people regardless of their faith or background.
