Hi I'm Julie

I'm a Mormon. I am a third generation native Arizonian. I am the mother of seven and the Grandmother of twenty-one.

About Me

I was raised in a family of seven children by loving parents. I began taking piano lessons at the age of eight and have enjoyed playing the piano and singing in our church choir. I have taught piano lessons and have been the choir director many times. I love listening to the Tabernacle Choir and the feeling of peace that their music brings into my life. I have also taught pre-school, kindergarten and a music history class at a private school. I love working with young children and teaching them about life and music. I am now working part time as a secretary for my husband's furniture business when I am not helping my elderly parents take care of their needs. During the slow times I bake bread and can the produce from our garden and fruit trees. I enjoy spending time with my grand-children and watching them grow as they learn about their Heavenly Father and Jesus.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints. I was baptized by my father when I was eight years old. I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith was a living prophet who translated the Book of Mormon. The words to one of the children's Primary songs say it all; It goes something like this. "I know that Jesus lives and that he loves me. I know the prophet leads our church and guides me. I know the Book of Mormon is a witness of Jesus Christ. I know the Gospel's true. The Gospel is true."

How I live my faith

I have helped the welfare department of the church using my homemaking experience, making quilts and providing needed supplies for natural disaster areas. As a choir director, pianist, organist and singer, I have helped provide music and even organized several Christmas and Easter programs. I have worked with the cub scouts and boy scouts in many capacities. Three of my sons are Eagle Scouts. I have visited with many sisters in our congregation and helped them when they have challenges or when they just need a friend to talk to.
