Hi I'm Minnie

I'm a mother of 4 children, wife, photography fanatic, travel enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mother! I love it so much that after I had my oldest daughter and they told me I couldn't have any more kids, I adopted 3 more! It has been the most wonderful experience to raise these children up unto the Lord. I spend most of my time helping my kids be the best they can! Then I do get to fit in time to travel, take pictures, helping my husband with our business and serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My testimony has increased as I have lived every principle until I can say without a doubt that this is the only true church on the earth. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and I feel the spirit speak through it's words the things I need to hear. I love the plain and simple truths it contains. I love that we have a prophet on the earth today that helps us know what the Lord wants us to do at this time. President Thomas S. Monson speaks for the Lord today, just as the prophets of old did in their time. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he restored the true gospel on the earth. I am grateful for the knowledge of Christ's atonement and that I am saved by His grace. I have been changed forever for good by the knowledge that Christ will forgive me of my mistakes and it makes me want to be better and do better everyday and try to be more like Him! I love that this gospel brings me peace in times of trials, happiness in times of strife, and joy in all areas of my life! I know my Savior lives and loves me and so I know that I can get through anything!

How I live my faith

I live the gospel of Christ everyday. I read his words daily from the scriptures. I pray to Him several times a day. I serve others by bringing in meals to those in need. I serve in my church in the nursery every Sunday for two hours so the parents can attend their meetings. I love it so much. I love to be around these special children who have so recently been with our Heavenly Father and now are on earth. They bring so much fun and joy to my life. I love to hear them laugh and to play with them! I also have 3 women that I visit their home every month and to share a spiritual message. I volunteer also in my children's school twice a month. I also give 10% of my monthly income to the church. I feel like it is a privilege to pay because the Lord has given me so much and helped me in every way. I give a limited amount and he blesses me abundantly! My faith colors my every action and blesses my life eternally.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are so important to our religion because we believe that our relationships go beyond this life. We believe that families are eternal. That is why it is so important to develop good relationships while we are here on earth. We believe that our families help us to become the best that we can be. We are always there to love, cherish, and build each other up. It is within the family framework that God manifest his greatest miracles. Our happiness or our sorrows usually are because of our families and so we work towards creating a family unit that will bring us close to our Heavenly Father and that will bring us the greatest happiness. We know that nothing of value comes without a lot of time and effort put into it. We believe that the family unit is the greatest asset that we have and it is requires our very best. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us the things that we need to do to create this ideal family. We are not there yet, but I feel that everyday I can work towards this goal. If we do this we will receive the fruit from our labor of a loving, healthy happy family. I love my family and I want to live with them forever! Show more Show less
