Hi I'm Brandon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and have two great kids. My wife and I met while at college, at BYU. Spending time with my family is very important to me. I enjoy playing board games and video games and watching movies with the kids. My wife and I try to have a date night once a month. I like to go to ball games, coach little league baseball, and play golf. I have a very busy profession and with an active family and many interests, my challenge is finding the best way to balance my time.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. I was raised in a Mormon family in southern California. I attended primary as a kid, early-morning seminary during high school, served as a missionary for two years in Paraguay, and attended BYU. I believe in God. He is my Father in heaven. I believe in Jesus Christ. He is my Savior. I believe in the Bible as a witness of God's hand in the world and a record of the life of Jesus when he lived on the earth. Many people don't believe that Jesus really was the Son of God and that he came to the earth to atone for our sins. I believe that he did. I also believe in the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ. Like the Bible, the Book of Mormon contains the teachings of ancient prophets about Jesus Christ. The teachings in the Book of Mormon resonate with me and I've always enjoyed reading and learning as much as I can from that book. The Book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith, who was a prophet called of God in our day, just like the prophets from the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of God on earth today. Some of the things I like about my church are the teachings about my purpose on earth and the eternal nature of families. I believe that God has a plan for each one of us and that with faith, we can find happiness in this life through obedience to the commandments.

How I live my faith

Each week I play the organ during our worship service. During the week, I try to study from the scriptures and pray each day. As a family we read from the scriptures and pray together before bed. Weekly, our family sets aside one night to spend as a family to discuss our faith and how we can serve our neighbors.
