Hi I'm Jerry

I'm a Mormon. I'm a retired dentist and the father of 7 wonderful children. I served as a bishop and now serve in the Temple

About Me

My greatest love is my family and, at present, doing family history work (genealogy). I serve in the local LDS Temple and have had many great church-related experiences. I served a mission in Brazil, and have been a bishop for our local ward. These opportunities, and many others, have given me a great love for all people. At present I live in American Fork, Utah, and love the beauty of the mountains , lakes, rivers, seasons and even the snow. My hobbies include reading (with a special interest in history and biographies), and traveling. My wife and I have 7 wonderful children--5 daughters and 2 sons. At present we have 17 grandchildren, and I wish they all lived closer so we could spend more time together. My wife and I have been called to serve as missionaries for the Church in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. We leave in early March 2018, and are looking forward to meeting and serving many wonderful people in that area.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the blessing of being born to great parents who love the church. My mother was a convert to the church, my father came from 4 generations of members, the first being a convert from Norway in 1852. I have always had a deep testimony of the truth and blessing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I served as a missionary for 2 1/2 years in Brazil as a young man. When I returned to my education I was blessed to meet and fall in love with a beautiful and spiritual young woman who was a recent convert to the church. We were students at Brigham Young University and were married for time and all eternity in a Temple of the Lord. All of my life has been blessed because of the teaching of the church. My children are all active and involved in serving the Lord in the church and are wonderful examples and great parents. I owe this all to the tender mercies of the Lord and his many blessings. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) to be a restoration of the church that was established in the ancient world by Jesus Christ. I believe Joseph Smith to be a Prophet of God and the Book of Mormon to be a second witness of the living Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. It is not just a Sunday activity but shapes all I do. I am retired and spend most of my days doing service in the Temple. My wife and I are leaving in March 2018 to serve a mission because I desire to share my love of the Savior and his Gospel with the people in Georgia.
