Hi I'm Brayden

Well. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty regular dude... I grew up in a great family with two wonderful parents whom I loved spending time with. Our family activities included (and continue to include) lots of boating, travel, trampoline jumping, camping and eating. My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer when I was 15 years old and passed away one year later. Her death took me, my dad, and my four younger siblings through a difficult time because of the closeness and bond that we shared. I am now grown (physically anyway) and married to the woman of my dreams with whom I have an absurdly cute son and daughter. I work with a group of wonderful people at our startup company with plans to disrupt the education technology scene.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that living in accordance with the core principals and teachings of the gospel can bring long term happiness to an individual's life. While there are things about our church that are cause for question or suspicion, it is my personal belief that "perfecting the saints" is an ongoing process. The church, while cautious, is always changing and does not intend to exclude anyone as they navigate social norms and simultaneously stay true to central beliefs and doctrines. I remain associated with the church because, throughout my life, I have been guided to people and experiences that have lead me to answers I may not have found otherwise. The Book of Mormon offers a perspective that if applied, can have profound effects on a persons life. My association with the church has helped me lead a positive and happy life and has assisted me in cultivating an attitude of hope and gratitude. The principles of the gospel have strengthened my relationship with my kids and are ever-present in my marriage. Our family enjoys a very close relationship that is in large part, owed to our adherence to many of the central teachings of the gospel throughout our lives. Being associated with the LDS church has provided me with guidance and direction that I am forever grateful for.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing with others, the aspects of the gospel that have had the most positive influences on my own life. I am very open about my beliefs and I am happy to share what I believe in and why I believe it.
