Hi I'm Debbie

I grew up in California and moved to Colorado with a desire to return to the Mormon church where I was raised.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, stepmother and grandma! I have two daughters who I love hanging out with. Two older stepsons, a daughter in law and 2 beautiful granddaughters. My husband and I met at church in August of 1992 and were married in the Denver temple in February of 1993. I work full time and also work as a Chapter President for a non profit organization. I am also the PTO vice president of the local middle school. Busy life but love it. My family is so important to me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon but it took me many years to be converted. I was baptised at 8 as that was what you were suppose to do. It was not until my thirties and many tragic events in my life, that I had to do some soul searching and gain my own testimony of the Gospel. I now know without a shadow of a doubt that this is the only true church. I know that Joseph Smith had a vision and restored the Gospel to the earth. I know that my older brother Jesus Christ loves me and loves us all. I know that I will be with my family for eternity. My younger brother recently passed away and I know that because we are an eternal family we will be together again. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I read it for the first time several years ago and continue to read it as every time I read it I learn something new. My love for my family and the gospel is something I cherish. I know I am a Child of God and he loves me and knows me by name.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings of the Saviour. I serve in my community as that is what Christ has taught us. We are to love one another and by servings others we are showing that love. My husband and I teach 3 year olds every Sunday at church and we love these little people. They are so eager to learn the stories of the scriptures. Watching these little children sing songs they have learned makes my heart swell and on occassion brings tears to my eyes.
