Hi I'm Alix

I am a wife. I love history, reading, and movies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona and love everything about it--even the heat! I graduated from college in History. I am married to my best friend, Jake. We have known each other since high school and are loving married life. I love my husband! I also love reading, watching movies, spending time with friends and family, blogging, and taking silly pictures.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the Church, I have been able to enjoy all the blessings of living with the Gospel. The Church has always been a positive influence in my life and has made me the happy person I am today. When I was ten years old, my younger brother died unexpectedly. I remember feeling peace despite the sorrow I felt for my loss. With the gospel, I had the knowledge that if I followed Christ and lived my life right, I someday would be able to see my brother again and live with my family forever. Recently I was able to go through the temple for myself and be sealed to my husband for time and all of eternity. I love knowing that my husband and I will be together forever and not just in this life. It is a huge blessing to be sealed and to be able to go to the temple often to feel the spirit and be in God's house. I know with all my heart that this Church is true. Jesus Christ is my Savior and my best friend. I know that he will always be there for me and that he loves me.

How I live my faith

Every summer that I have come home from college, I have been able to teach the same group of little children. When I started teaching them, they were five years old. Now they are seven and so enthusiastic about the gospel. I love watching them learn and grow in their knowledge and faith. They are all so excited to be baptized next year and their faith strengthens my testimony every time I teach them. I love reading the scriptures. Every time I read them, I find something that I hadn't seen before. Any time I need answers to life's questions, I always find them in the scriptures. I also attend church every Sunday where I can feel the Spirit and learn about my Savior.
