Hi I'm Taylor Jordan Tenney

I grew up in Gilbert Arizona, donated 14,000 lbs. of fruit to the United Food Bank for my Eagle project, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Chandler-Gilbert Community College majoring in Civil Engineering, I like to go to the beach when occasion permits, I love boating, and surrounding myself with family and friends. I was apart of my high school dive team for four years and went to a state level competition for said team. Obtaining the Eagle Scout Award was a wonderful occomplishment for me and has helped me to grow intellectually and socially. Currently, the company I work for has taught me out of necessity how to install dry wall, spackle, and has taught me a multitude of other ways to fix anything that is broken or in disrepair.

Why I am a Mormon

My family tree has a long history of church membership. Some of my ancestors were part of the early pioneers that settled modern day Utah and more particularly Arizona. Throughout the years, I have learned of the sacrafices they went through because of what I believed. If they would go through uncharted territory and settle untamed land, all to escape persecution that they may practice their beliefs, then what they believed was extremely important to them. I had to know what they knew. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, not because I have been brainwashed into the beliefs of family and friends, but because I have come to know for myself. I have read the scriptures, lived them, and shared with others what I have learned, and in so doing, have come to know that this church is true. I feel wonderful when I live my faith and I am filled with such joy when I do, that I am convinced there is no doubt that the Book of Mormon was from God, and we can recieve help from him if we will ask in prayer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day as I help others who are in need. I will help someone with a math problem, or even with problems in their relationships with family and friends. I help to comfort those that are in need of comfort. In my community, I will visit those who are sick or even those who are doing well. I strive to emulate the life of the Savior, thus, I am trying to be like Jesus Christ. Furthermore, since I do not have vast amounts of free time to visit others, I am also being like Jesus Christ when I am kind to others. I will be approchable in public and try, in anyway I can, to let others know that the Lord loves them and I will strive to help them know I care for them as well.
