Hi I'm Karen

I am a lot of things to a lot of people. Mom, sister, friend, artist, chef, engineer. Best of all...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated in Construction Management from BYU with a minor in Business. I worked for a bit and I am a mother of 4 children now. I love to cook, bake, decorate, arrange anything from furniture to flowers and really do anything with my hands. I enjoy gardening and canning. I have found food storage and emergency prep to be a fun hobby! I love reading anytime I get a moment. I really enjoy exercising - swimming, running and biking and playing on the playground with my kiddos.

Why I am a Mormon

The spirit testifies of truth. I pray to know things for myself. To have a spiritual confirmation in my mind and heart. I choose to be a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I have felt the spirit of God witness to my mind and heart its truth. I have had the same experience when I prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The spirit confirmed to me that there is a living prophet on earth today. It makes sense that the Lord reorganized his church in the Latter-Days following the pattern He used when He walked the earth. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and Redeemer. I knowledge that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me gives me confidence and strength. All of this knowledge gives me power to face daily challenges with faith. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I serve the children in our congregation and I am uplifted and filled with the spirit each Sunday as I spend time with God's precious little ones. I try to serve others whenever I hear or see a need. I feel that God has given me all I have, I need to attempt to give back as much as I can to repay Him...and still he sends blessings. I know I will always be in His debt. So I will always continue to serve Him through serving others.
