Hi I'm Paulette

I'm a wife, mom, sister, aunt, friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to hike, especially to the tops of mountains, where looking down I can see clearly how insignificant man is in the grand scheme of things, and how amazing God is. His creations are glorious, endless, and testify of His divinity. I am married with one child, our miracle. I would rather do yard work than house work, any day. I am currently a Chief Financial Officer. I have taught Finance classes at a University. I have been a Financial Analyst, Cost Accountant, and Bookkeeper. Yes, I love Math. I enjoy doing genealogy research, reading (mostly non-fiction), and I take on-line classes because I love to continue learning new things. I love to volunteer in the community and at church, to help bless the lives of children and teenagers. I KNOW that my Redeemer lives and through his Atonement, made it possible for each of us to be able to repent, so that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again, after we die. And I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I KNOW that Jesus' church has been restored to the earth. This testimony was received by the Holy Ghost testifying the truth of it to me. It bears His name, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Holy Ghost has also testified to me that the Book of Mormon is a second witness of Jesus Christ, my Savior and Redeemer, as I have read it over and over again. I never tire of reading the prophet's words that are recorded therein. I have had many answers to my prayers revealed to me as I have read from its pages, as well as the Bible. The Holy Ghost has testified to me that we indeed have a living prophet who is leading us today, just as God has led his people for centuries. The Holy Ghost has also testified to me that the Priesthood has been restored to the earth just like in Jesus' time. I have been healed by Priesthood blessings and I know that only the power of God could do that. My testimony of these, and many other things Jesus' church has to offer us for our eternal salvation, gives me my reason to live....my hope for a bright future, my peace during difficult times, and acts as an anchor to my Savior as I try to live His teachings.

How I live my faith

I currently serve the leaders of the children ages 18 months through 11 years, in 9 different congregations/units of my church. We train them, support them, visit them, etc... I have been serving the children at church for 11 years total. I have also volunteered in my son's schools and with his extracurricular activities for 15 years. I have volunteered/served the teenage girls from church for 20 years total, as a teacher, president, counselor, and camp director. I love the energy and life of these precious souls. They have helped me feel young, and I have felt the Savior's love and concern for them as I have prayed for them individually and collectively. Once a month I visit (with a companion) 2 to 5 women in my church. We not only become good friends, but we also try to lift one another's burdens, by seeing if there is anything we can do to help her or her family, and leave them with a spiritual message. The Savior ministered one-on-one and I believe we should too. I try to help my neighbors and friends as well. For example I received training to become a Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) member just in case the need arises in my neighborhood/community. I have been a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America for the past 9 years and am currently a Unit Commissioner. I believe this program is inspired by God to help build our young boys into strong adult leaders. I believe that as we serve others, we 'lose ourselves' and become more Christlike. In serving others we also grow to love them. I am trying to be like Jesus, but am far from perfect. I try to live my faith by serving and lifting others.
