Hi I'm Bret

I grew up in Gilbert, AZ. I work for a major bank in the credit card industry and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graduate from Arizona State University's International Letters and Cultures department with an emphasis in Japanese. I currently work for a major bank in the personal credit card department . My wife and I have been married for about two years now and are looking to start a family. I am also looking into going to law school in the near future.

Why I am a Mormon

My father's side of my family are descendants of LDS pioneers. My mother met the missionaries and joined the LDS Church when she was a young teenager. They gave me the opportunity to learn about Christ's Gospel from a young age. But, like many, I decided to learn about and decide if this church was really God's true church on Earth. Through much study, not only of the doctrines of the LDS Church, but also of other faiths, along with much personal fasting, prayer and supplication to my Maker, I came to know that this is His church. The LDS Church is the only church on the Earth that contains the fulness of His Gospel. The only way that God's children might be saved and inherit all that He would have us inherit is through the ordinances and covenants of the Lord's original church that were restored through Joseph Smith, Jr.

How I live my faith

I am currently responsible for planning family activities for the church in my area. I am also able to sing in the church choir. My wife and I are responsible for planning activities for either married couples who don't have children or single adults in our church as well.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

One of the beauties of the Gospel is that it is extended to everyone. The Gospel, i.e., the good news that Christ overcame sin and death, and the blessings that resulted from His sacrifice, is available for ALL of God's children. Show more Show less
