Hi I'm Kaytlin

I'm a baker. I'm a gazer. I am positive. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love learning. I feel like that is one of my defining characteristics, that learning about new things thrills me and I always want to be learning and helping myself become more than what I am right now. I feel like learning new things about people, cultures, academics and life is my way of opening my eyes and becoming who I want to be and not what someone else says I should be. there are a lot of mixed messages about what a young, intelligent and beautiful woman is supposed to look like, but I know that I can be all of that whether or not it fits the status quo. I love to hear people's stories, who they are what they have done, so I love to read books and watch movies and get caught up and taken away to new places and times. In school I love to learn about anatomy and about how the human body works, it amazes me to think of all the intricate details that work perfectly together and allow us to think and read and see and wrote and move. The chemicals that are so balanced, the mechanisms that are so precise, and how everybody has the same processes happening inside of them and yet we all come out to be such different people. i believe that God and science are not opposite ends of the spectrum, but that they prove each others existence.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's true church on the earth today. I know that Christ restored his living gospel truths to the earth after centuries of being lost to the philosophies of men, and that he leads those that will follow him. I know that Christ lives and is present today in a very real sense, that He cares for his Children and does not want anyone to live in darkness or ignorance of eternal truths. because of this, he has given us his gospel, all of the truth and light and knowledge that we need to be worthy to live with him again. All of this can be found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ad no where else, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to reach my potential. I believe that God gives us the ability to make our own choices, he will guide us and give us answers to our questions, but he will never make a choice for us, that is something that we must do for ourselves. By doing that we learn, grow and become better. Sometimes it means that we make mistakes, that we stumble over the difficult paths that are ahead of us, but that only makes us stronger. As we ask for strength to be able to pick ourselves up again, and forge ahead we become something a little bit stronger, wiser, more compassionate and closer to God. When we live up to our potential and become who we can be through God's help, that is when we really live our faith.
