Hi I'm Al

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Florida but now live in Colorado. I'm a Sales Manager and travel 6 States.

About Me

I'm a proud Dad with one son(Who just became a Police Officer) and travel extensively. I get to meet many diverse people in different parts of the country and it gives me a greater perspective of the diversity and nature of those in whom I come in contact with. My hobbies include reading, working on Family history and playing my guitar. I have and enjoy many interests but those are at the top of my list.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a convert to the Church and I joined the Church at a very pivotal time in my life. I was married to a Mormon girl and we really hadn't talked to much about the Church until one day i asked her to go to my Church. She said she would rather not because she knew that her Church was true. This set me back for a minute because I had never heard that expression before...Aren't ALL churches true I thought? Well in order to find out more of what she meant by that I decided to ask some questions and just find out what her Mormon Family believed. As soon as I started taking the lessons all my friends were in opposition to me for even wanting to find out more. As one friend stated to me, "If you join the Mormon Church then you can't smoke, drink coffee or tea or anything," to which I replied, "Well if its true then it will be just fine with me." I never really knew until after I joined the Church what greater meaning that has had in my life. I ended up joining the Church and its has been the greatest single event in my life. To really come to know the Savior and the meaning of life through the restoration of the Gospel means everything to me.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church has brought into my life a whole new meaning of "Why I'm here", "Where did I come from" and "where I'm going after this life". For that reason I enjoy attending Church every Sunday to continue to learn about the Gospel Plan and The Plan of Happiness. I have a special calling that utilizes my talents and I learn from other shared experiences. To learn more is to live more and to be of service to others is a pure delight. To see the organization of the Lord's Church in action is truly humbling. I encourage anyone who has a true desire to learn to not hesitate in talking to the missionaries or other members of the Church. Your questions can be answered and many things that you may have thought could never be explained, can be, especially when you hear it from this revealed religion.
