Hi I'm Naomi

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Avid Suns fan. Love for basketball. Being with family. Teaching. Traveling (Hong Kong, Philippines, Italy, along the East Coast of USA, mid-west USA). Being outside (when it's not over 110 degrees here in the Valley of the Sun). Reading. Working out. Work, work work. Play, play, play. Don't forget sleeping. :) I work as an Academic Counselor at an online University and my students are all from the Southeast region of the United States and they are amazing. I am working on my MBA degree and am almost done!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon?! I wish you could see the huge smile on my face right now. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has truly brought me so much happiness and comfort in this life. Yes, I go through trials and obstacles like everybody but, because of the knowledge I have of my loving Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ, I can live every day knowing that everything is going to work out and I will be able to return and live with them forever one day. Jesus Christ never had it easy in His life, yet he showed us how to be obedient, how to follow our Father in Heaven, and how to find the truth. He taught us that He established one church and one church only. "One Lord, one faith, one baptism" (Eph. 4:5). He told us it would be 'built' upon apostles, prophets, revelation, and priesthood authority. Aside from the proof in the Bible that explains which church is true, the feelings I get from serving in the church, reading the scriptures, listening to the living Prophets and Apostles, sharing the message of the restored gospel with others, are incredible and undeniable. I have never been happier than the times I am committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I feel like I have the best calling in my ward: Ward Missionary. I am blessed to sit in missionary lessons with those seeking the truth. I love learning about other religions and helping those not of the LDS faith find pieces to their 'truth/religious' puzzle. All religions have truth and I love being able to share my testimony and helping them understand they have finally found the truth. I would give everything I had to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sharing my simple testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ is such a huge blessing and in return, Heavenly Father blesses me with happiness and helps me help others find the truth the have been searching for or may not even know they were missing a piece of their puzzle.
