Hi I'm Gerry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to camp, fish and be outdoors. I also enjoy spending time with my family and watching my children grow up in the gospel. I am currently working as an Electrician. A few months ago I was working in the accounting field. However, due to the tough economy I was laid off. Thankfully I was able to find work and continue to provide for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. My parents took great care to teach my siblings and I about the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ. From a young age I gained a love for these teachings and have come to know for myself that they are true. I can say that I know that God lives and he loves each one of us. I know Jesus Christ lives and that he atoned for each of us, making it possible for us to live again and have the opportunity to repent of our sins and return and live with him again. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he saw God the father and his son Jesus Christ in a vision. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon and was the instrument in God's hands in restoring the true gospel and Church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. I know we have a living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, and that his teachings are just as important today as prophets of old. I know that the Book of Mormon, the Bible and all other scripture that has been given to us through our prophets is true and is the word of God. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the earth today and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Our ward is like our family only larger. Everyone looks out for each other. A good example of this; many families grow gardens here in town. However, it is not unusual for one person's garden to do better than others at times. It is amazing to see how willing everyone is to share when they have more than they need. I have been involved in many callings, from being a home teacher, to serving in scouting, to working with the youth and even being a secretary to our bishop. Currently I have been given the task of helping our ward family learn how to use this website and to make sure that everyone can be apart of it. I look forward to helping all with this task.
