Hi I'm Alicia

I was born and raised in Utah. There is 8 of us children & we fostered a special needs girl growing up. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a twin sister which happens to be my sister in-law also. I live in a small town in Arizona. I'm married to a wonderful man. We were sealed in the Mesa Arizona temple 26 years ago and we are the proud parents of 6 children, 5 girls and 1 boy. Our family is growing and we have 2 grand children. I have been very blessed to be a stay at home mom. I love spending time with my family. Going camping, working in the garden, and watching a good movie together. I like to make quilts and doing different crafts. I enjoy cooking and baking and am not afraid of making new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and the day I was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints I made covanants or promises to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ; to keep the commandments, to live as the Savior did by following His example. There is a purpose in life and as I strive daily to do the things the Lord would want me to do, comfort those in need, stand as a witness of the Savior at all times and in all things, I am keeping my promises and in return Heavenly Father's spirit will always be with me. Being a Mormon is a wonderful blessing in my life! I have a family here on earth and one day we will be together forever and that in itself makes my life more meaningful. As a member of this church you become part of a different "family" where everyone is serving each other whether you're 8 or 98 and that makes me feel good. I love the different activities that this church has to offer and while participating in them we build greater relationships with each other. We all want the same goal in life and that is eternal life. My life has not been without trials but having the knowledge I have and continue to get helps me through them and my testimony becomes stronger and most of all I am a better more spiritual person. I love my Heavenly Father and brother Jesus Christ. And they LOVE ME!!!

How I live my faith

My membership in this church isn't just going to church on Sunday, it's an everday part of life. When I'm called upon by my church leaders, I strive do what they ask me to do. It might be taking dinner to a needy family, serving with children, youth or the women. I try to be sensitive to the spirit and act upon those promptings. There are times I feel to call an individual and offer my services and think nothing of it and they will make the comment "Thank you for listening to the spirit". I was doing it out of love but the Lord knew they needed help and I was there to help. I am currantly working in the women's organization and love it. I read the Book of Mormon and have daily prayer and that helps me draw closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. A well known question I ask my children but it applies to everyone is "What would Jesus do?" As I keep that in mind I try to live my life "in a way that those who know me that don't know Christ will want to know Christ because they know me."
