Hi I'm Paige.

I have seven small children and was widowed at age 30. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a homeschooling mom who tries passionately to be the best mom I can be. I enjoy reading self-improvement books, keeping up with politics, gardening, healthy cooking, and staying fit. I was widowed unexpectedly at a young age leaving me with 5 kids under 9. My faith in Jesus Christ and the knowledge that families can be together forever got me through more grief than I knew possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been through many hard things in my life. The divorce of my parents, the death of my sister, the death of my dear husband, raising 5 little kids alone. I honestly wouldn't have survived (yet alone thrived) without the gospel in my life. Through my knowledge of the Savior and his atoning sacrifice, and my faith in the plan of our Heavenly Father, I know that all this stuff we go through is for a purpose. There are reasons--GOOD reasons--why bad things happen to us. We are here to be tested and tried and prove to God that we will follow Him no matter what. I know that through all of these tragedies that I have experienced, Christ has not only been there for me, but he has rescued me. He knows ME. He loves me. And He loves you too. He has the ability and the power to carry you through your heartaches. I know because he carried me.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is part of my daily life. We read scriptures as a family daily and pray together daily. I teach my children what I know and believe and try to give them the foundation in Christ that has helped me in my life. On Sundays I play the piano for the childrens' singing time and I lead the singing too. I have helped in the Choir, teaching classes for kids and women, and help with the music in whatever way is needed.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Husband and wife are equal partners who love and support each other in different roles. How that works exactly for each couple is unique to them. But Heavenly Father has blessed us with different strengths and abilities and we work together as husband and wife to accomplish the most amazing and wonderful opportunity in the world--to be parents to His children.
