Hi I'm Lyndsay

I am an Arizona Native. I cherish motherhood. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother, a wife, and a dreamer. I love being all three of those things. I love being married to my best friend and all the fun we have together. I especially love the little family we have created. Children add meaning and purpose to everything. Some of my favorite things are reading, vacations, and old houses. I love to read historical fiction. Escaping into the past and learning some history along the way is like a mini vacation. Speaking of...There is so much to be excited about when traveling to new and old places. I love the little tid bits I learn while traveling about the people, the culture, the land. Spending time with my family in different places learning new things and meeting new people is awesome. I hope to visit every continent. I also love the history and character of old houses. One of my goals in life is to purchase and restore a historical home. I enjoy visiting old homes and imagining the people, the conversations, the food, the stories that that home could tell.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been LDS all of my life. My testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel has grown stronger through the triumphs and trials in my life. The Plan of Salvation is so simple. I feel so blessed to have such a clear road map to guide me through my life. When I was 26 years old, my 27 year old brother was killed when a tree fell on him while camping. He was married with 3 young children. The peace that I felt throughout those first days after he died was overwhelming. My brother was a wonderful man who had a very strong testimony and lived the gospel everyday of his life. I knew where he was. I knew he was called home for important reasons. I know that I will see him again. There was a lot of sadness but not a lot of questions. I don't know how I would have felt or acted if I did not know our Heavenly Father's plan for us. The gospel is such a beautiful blessing of knowledge. I am so grateful that our Savior ,Jesus Christ, was sent to be our example and to take upon himself my sins and the sins of everyone else. Because of Him, and the plan our Heavenly Father has provided for us, we all have the knowledge and direction we need, to be who we should and return to His presence. How thankful I am for this.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching children. I have spent time as a scout leader. What a fun thing to do! Helping boys learn skills that will carry them through life and teaching them values and characteristics so that they can be successful and honorable members of their communities is so rewarding. I have also been a primary teacher on Sundays. It is a wonderful feeling to witness young people hearing and understanding the stories of Jesus and how they can strive to be like him.
