Hi I'm Steph

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Stephanie and I am a pharmacy student at the University of Colorado, a mother, a wife, and a proud member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love the outdoors and spend every moment I can hiking, fishing, hunting, and camping with my family. My little family and the gospel are the center of my world and everything I do revolves around them.

Why I am a Mormon

I first became a member of the church when I was baptized at 8 years old, but I feel that I gained a testimony of the gospel long before that. Growing up in a loving LDS home, I was taught the principals and doctrines of the gospel ever since I can recall. It's difficult to explain, but the gospel has always been one thing in life that I have never doubted. Whenever I attend church, read the scriptures, study the gospel, and listen to the guidance of the living prophet something deep down inside me just shouts "this is true!" My mother and father divorced when I was a little girl and I used to resent growing up hearing that statistics for my success were poor because I lived in a single parent home. I wanted to shout, "do not stick me into some stereotypical category, I am a child of God and I can be whomever I want!" My mother and grandmother put every ounce of strength they had into teaching my brother and I principles of the gospel that would eventually prepare us to make good decisions as we grew and started having to choose for ourselves who we wanted to become in life and how we wanted to live. I can honestly say that those principles saved me a lot of grief and regret as I progressed through my middle school and high school years. It is a lot easier to get through those confusing years of life when you already know the answers to questions like who am I, why am I here, where did I come from, and what will happen to me when I die. The knowledge and comfort that comes from the gospel is one of the most precious gifts obtainable in this life.

How I live my faith

I try to always be true to myself. I know that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father and I strive to live a life that he would be proud of. Trying to set a good example and stand up for what I believe in have always brought me joy beyond description.
