Hi I'm Jacob

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

Work: I am a resident physician in family medicine. Family: My spouse and I have been married for over four years and were married in the Bountiful, Utah Temple for time and eternity. We enjoy the outdoors, going for walks, bike rides, hiking, (basically anything outdoors). We do not have any children however, Bobbi our cat could be considered a little human in someways... Future: I look forward to learning as much as I can to be the best family doctor to my patients. I look forward to finishing my residency one day… Philosophy: No regrets! Hobbies: Exercise, travel, reading/learning, spending time with my wife, anything beach (hope to live near or on one someday), and tinkering with my salt water reef tank.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it's true! I love being a member of God's only true church on earth. Our Heavenly Father gives us his commandments to guide and bless us in these times that we live in. I feel the Holy Ghost in my life and I know that the teachings contained within the Church are correct doctrines given to us from God the Father through his Son, Jesus Christ. There are prophets today. The Priesthood is real and the authority from God to perform sacred ordinances on behalf of Him has been restored through heavenly messengers sent from God to the prophet Joseph Smith. I encourage anyone investigating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to meet with the missionaries, members of the church in your local area, or investigate from credible church resources to learn more about the greatest blessing in my life (other than my wife, health, and family) and many others. Learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ is like obtaining a college degree; you have to attend an institution with authority from God to learn correct principles from God. I wasn't brainwashed...I asked God myself through prayer. You can know too if you have faith and ask (see Moroni's promise above).

How I live my faith

The best I can. Sometimes I am more laid back than I should be however, I am grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ so that my sins can be forgiven and I can come to know Him more. I am grateful for the power of prayer and faith in the restored gospel that is within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It just makes sense. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ visited the boy Joseph in the grove and called him to be a modern day prophet, the coming forth of the Book of Mormon, modern-day revelation, the Priesthood, living prophets today…I encourage everyone who is investigating the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to visit with a member that is active in his/her membership in the Church, read and study from credible sources sponsored by the LDS Church and follow what the ancient prophet Moroni wrote in the Book of Mormon and compare it to the teachings contained within the Bible. Moroni wrote the following: 1 Now I, Moroni, write somewhat as seemeth me good; and I write unto my brethren, the Lamanites; and I would that they should know that more than four hundred and twenty years have passed away since the sign was given of the coming of Christ. 2 And I seal up these records, after I have spoken a few words by way of exhortation unto you. 3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your chearts. 4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not btrue; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having efaith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. 5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may aknow the truth of all things.
