Hi I'm Kim

I grew up in Seattle and moved to Arizona 18 years ago with my family. I have been a member of the LDS church all my life.

About Me

I work for a biotech company and travel throughout the USA. We have four kids and four grandkids. My wife and I like to gather with them in the mountains each summer for hikes and outings. I like to collect business cards from different Thai restaurants I visit in my travels. I have hundreds of cards.

Why I am a Mormon

I find the scriptures and doctrine help me understand my purpose in life and they bring comfort to me when I need guidance from the Lord. I have felt the spirit of the Lord tell me the church is true many times. Not because I was raised LDS, but because I found out for myself through prayer and study that His church has been restored through a prophet. The LDS church stands on its principles and teachings regardless of shifting values or popular opinion and that's a important part of why I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.

How I live my faith

I chose to serve a two year mission when I was nighteen years old. It help me learn how to work with individuals and taught me the value of self motivation and the rewards of serving others instead serving one's self. The chuch encourages all worthy young men to put aside two years to serve the Lord in various areas of the world. Currently in our local congregation I work with youth and adult groups. I also visit three families within our membership on a regular basis and then report back each month on their needs and well being to church leaders.
