Hi I'm Nancy

I was born Jewish, I married a Catholic, and now I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 3 sisters. I am the only Mormon in my family. My family was supportive about me joining the church, but none of them has shown interest in becoming members. I am married and have 3 children. I enjoy working on the computer, and have started doing our family history.

Why I am a Mormon

My family was Jewish, and my husband's family was Catholic. Something was lacking in our marriage and we were looking for something that would help bind us together. We noticed how happy one of our friends always seemed to be. We asked her about it, and she introduced us to the church. We joined soon after, and have have always been so thankful for the example that our friend set for us. We had 2 children, a son and a daughter. When our son died of kidney failure at the age of 15, my faith in Jesus Christ, and in eternal families is what got me through the tough times. My husband and I have since had another child, a daughter, who is just entering college. Our older daughter is now married and has 2 small children of her own.

How I live my faith

Some of my happiest times has been working with the young women in our church. I have spent many years helping them achieve their goals and working to become leaders themselves. I have also worked with the Young Women camp program. Every year they go to camp and I would help plan activities for them. We would spend a week in the pines and do so many fun things. You could actually see the girls growing closer to the Lord, by their acts of kindness and service to others.
