Hi I'm Jim

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Georgia. I have lived in the Western States since I was 18.

About Me

I served in the Air Force for over 10 years, worked in public safety for over 35 years, graduated from college, and attended the FBI Academy. I have been married over 40 years to a wonderful woman and have seven children. My life has been mostly about service both at work and with my church. I joined the Church of Jesus Chirist of Latter-Day Saints when I was 19 years old, but, I was always involved in Service even in the Church I was raised in.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised with my parents teaching me strong principles of honesty, integrity, and devotion to the Savior. When the missionaries taught me about the LDS church my view and desire to live those principles and others were enhanced. The desire to learn all that I could about God the Father and his Son (Jesus Christ), and how they communicate with us individually through the Spirit has increased my faith and knowledge that you and I are children of God and that he desires that we accept his blessings and return to him. It was a great decision that has filled my life with joy.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had many opportunities to grow in various callings (responsibilies) in the Church. I have had many callings (responsibilies) in the Church, a few of those are hometeacher, instructor, High Priest Group Leader, Counselor to Bishops, Canning Specialist, and Missionary Service in co-teaching a Strengthing Marriage Course with my Wife. All of these callings were unexpected and I never felt up to the challenge, but, was sustained in each one. Each call had it's challenges, but, all provided an opportunity for growth through serviing others.
