Hi I'm Peter

I'm a father and a dentist, and I believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I joined the church when I was 18 and served a mission.

About Me

I grew up attending a private baptist grade school and a public high school. I became a member of the Church when I was 18, and served a two year mission in a European country. I have three children and maintain a private dental practice. When I have time I swim, bike, and hike. I maintain a personal journal of my daily experiences in hopes of inspiring my posterity.

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon and could not deny it. 1 Nephi 10:14 states that there are two churches only. When I read that verse I realized that I did not belong to the church of God at that time. I had before me a book, the origin of which I was not certain. It is either true or it is not. Joseph Smith was either a liar or a prophet. If the book is true, then Joseph was a prophet, and his revelations are true, and the prophets who followed him are also true prophets of God. I am certain that Joseph Smith could not have written the Book or Mormon relying on his imagination. The book is most certainly an inspired record. Those who criticize it have not read it. Read and answer for yourself the question, "If this book is not the divine record that Joseph claims it to be, then from where did it come? How could an imperfect man write a perfect book that has withstood the criticisms of scholars a scientists? "

How I live my faith

I have held many callings in the Church. I have taught the scriptures, I have taught teachers how to teach, I have organized missionary efforts, and I have served as a leader on a larger level. I live every day conscious of my actions and how I will be judged by God. I watch my actions to see that the inspire others to follow Christ. I am humbled the great blessings that God has granted me simply by allowing me to have a mortal experience. I look forward to the day that I may live in his presence with my family. Being a father and a professional and a member of the Church is challenging. My days are busy, but I feel blessed to know that my efforts are positively influencing the world around me. Living this life with an eye single to the glory of God is a challenging task. The day of rest will come, but today is not that day. I "work like everything depended on me, and pray like everything depended on the Lord."
