Hi I'm Sue

I'm a Mormon. I was not born a Mormon but became one in 1976.

About Me

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 45 years. After helping to put him through college I have been a homemaker and mom. We have 3 children and 7 grand-children. My husband recently retired and we have built our dream home closer to our grandkids and we love it!! I love to read, play golf, and card making.

Why I am a Mormon

Shortly after the birth of our 3rd baby, the missionaries visited us. They brought a message of how families could be stronger. Having just had a new baby I was very interested in anything that would make our family safe and strong. We were attending a church at that time and had no plans to change, but after we heard the message they gave on the Family Home Evening program we wanted to know more about this religion. We learned not only how important the family is to the Latter-Day-Saints, but that Heavenly Father has given us a plan of happiness that if followed, will bring us back to him after we leave this life. Not only us, but all of our family as well.

How I live my faith

As I have participated in different church assignments, I have learned that my Father in Heaven has blessed me with the ability to teach. I have had the opportunity to teach youth, and adults and in preparing those lessons I have learned so much about the gospel as found both in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. That knowledge has helped me through my life to avoid many pitfalls and mistakes that I could have fallen into had I not known what was correct and pleasing to Father in Heaven. I guess you could say that I have lived my faith by just trying to do what my Heavenly Father and my Savior would have me to do.
