Hi I'm Christina

I am a wife and a mother of three. I love life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a stay-at-home mother of three and absolutely love it! I graduated from the Univ. of Utah with a BA in Communications and shortly after started my own photography business. I ran that for about 8 years until I made the decision to focus on my family. I am grateful for the opportunity to spend so much time with my children in their early years. I love to learn new things and continually stretch my mind. I love fitness and enjoy participating in local races. I love to CREATE whether it be through cooking, photography, crafting or building memories with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a family with the gospel and been taught throughout the years by my parents, grandparents, church leaders and many other wonderful people. But it has been in living life -- through trials, mistakes and good times -- that I have truly become converted to this gospel. I have built a relationship with Jesus Christ and have felt His hand guiding and directing me throughout my life. I know that He is always there waiting to teach me more as I am ready. The gospel brings me continual comfort and peace in a world that is constantly changing. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Jesus Christ's true church here on earth. The commandments and ordinances that He has set up here on earth are the way for me to return back to my Heavenly Father at the end of this life. Living the commandments and following the Savior have brought me joy I never imagined.

How I live my faith

I strive to follow the commandments as set forth by Jesus Christ. I follow the words of the Bible, Book of Mormon and modern-day prophets and apostles. I attend church weekly to recommit myself to Jesus Christ and be reminded of His power and love for me. I study scriptures, communicate with my Heavenly Father through prayer and serve in the church. I am teaching my children the gospel and the joy that it brings to me. Currently, I teach a class on gospel principles once a month to the group of women in our ward.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Women and men are complete equals and walk side by side. I have felt as a woman to be held in very high esteem within our church. Women are respected. It is taught that men and women have different responsibilities and that gender plays an essential role in the Lord's plan. Show more Show less

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom is a gift from our Heavenly Father that teaches us how to care for the bodies He has created. We do not drink coffee, tea or alcohol and we do not use tobacco or illegal drugs. But it is more than a list of "do-nots." It also teaches us to rest our bodies and not overwork them and what to feed our bodies. It is a way to keep our bodies in optimum health to do His work here on earth. Show more Show less
