Hi I'm Arthur Eck

I was born in New England and move to & live in the Southwestern U. S. in my adult years. I'm a father of eight. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The joy of my life is loving my sweet wife and working with her to raise our children to be folks that contribute and serve. We have eight wonderful children who provide me with much to think and pray about. They have oft caused me to rethink what I know. And as I have learned, true learning often causes the rethinking of what is known, this I enjoy. More so when the process is complete than when engaged. But looking back it is the engagement that makes life worth living. I have a Chinese and Electrical Engineering B.S. and a minor in math. Enjoy solving problems using scientific method and statistics. I also enjoy making creative solutions and doings so with diverse global groups of individuals. These interests cause me to travel throughout Europe, North America and Asia. It has drawn me into the development of semiconductor products and the evaluation, acquisition and merger of semiconductor companies.

Why I am a Mormon

Sacred ordinances and covenants available in Holy Temples make it possible for my family to be together for eternity and return to a Heavenly Family. This makes the sacrifices of this life well worth it and gives clarity to the injustices of this stage of existence. More practically and with regard to the tangible of the here and now the Doctrine of Mormonism gives me the tools to raise children and live at peace with my Creator is a world that seems far from that peace. I have great peace and joy due to adherence to these doctrines. But more important to me, I sense within, that this is the right thing to do.

How I live my faith

I diligently study the Old and New Testament. I study the Book of Mormon and additional scripture. I study with my family and personally. I pray & fast individually and with my family. I seek and serve with my family and individually to help improve the human condition. I work to be a kind and loving husband and father. I sincerely believe all I meet are children of a Loving God, VIPs in His eyes. I believe that God is far wiser than me and if in His opinion they are of great worth, they must be, regardless of what they do or say. I seek to find a way to love and serve. At least on my best days.
