Hi I'm Holly

I joined the church as an adult. I have 7 children, married in the Temple. I am a LMT(license massage therapist) and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Missouri. My parents were divorced when I was 7 and my mom raised us with the catholic church, so went to school where I wore a uniform and was taught by nuns. I am the middle child of three girls and the only one living in the west. I have a wonderful husband of 22 yrs thus far and we are a blended family. He had two small children and I had two when we met, married and together had three. We've raised all seven in our home with the gospel light leading the way and it has been wonderful. Most often we hear from others how we don't even look like a blended family let alone act like one. I'm sure it's because of our beliefs. Most of our children are adults now and we can finally begin to see the fruit on the tree. Parenting is one of the longest harvests with many different seasons. I love seeing my children blossom. I am currently doing what I've always wanted to do and that is being a massage therapist. I waited until the time was right and got my opportunity to go back to school at 44. I've been enjoying this career for 7 years now and truly love knowing I am helping others become aware of body mechanics and toxins to improve their health. I enjoy my calling and have always loved serving in the church. It truly helps me grow in understanding and love!

Why I am a Mormon

After many years of tears and prayers I came to hear about the church of Jesus Christ through missionary work and the love of others around me that were always inviting me to participate in activities of the church. I was 26 and for the first time I was truely recieving answers about why we are here and does all this have a meaning. I always knew there was a God but what I didn't understand is that he has a plan and a purpose and I was part of that plan. To bring about the salvation of man. I now know beyond any shadow of a doubt that I am a child of God, that he sent me here for a purpose, and that he loves me very much and wants me to be happy and return to him someday.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a leader for our young women ages 12 to 18 which means I get to mingle with these wonderful young ladies and help them grow in their understanding. Which for me is a lot of fun since my youngest child is a daughter and I get to be with her. I have 5 boys and have had the opportunity to be with them during their cub scout years. I served 9 years in various types of cub scout callings. I go to the Temple at least once a month and more often if I can because you can really feel the love of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ there. It helps me in my everyday life and in my desire to grow in understanding. Reading scriptures everyday keeps me close to the Spirit and allows me to deepen my testimony of why we are here and how should we live in this great big beautiful world. I enjoy belonging to a ward family that I know will be available to help me in anyway possible if I need it. We have someone that stops by and checks on us each month to see how we are doing. This allows us to develop a friendship and bonding that can last a life time.
