Hi I'm Melody

I enjoy spending time in the outdoors. I like working out with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 13 years and am a mother of 5 children. I enjoy staying home to take care of them. After graduating from BYU I was a Jr. High School History teacher in Utah. I have also served a mission in Louisiana. I am currently training for a 'sprint' triathalon and love getting together with friends to do so. I enjoy reading classic novels and other good books. I also love to play Tennis. I have been a vegetarian for about 5 years and like to cook healthy meals for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Two sweet sister Missionaries shared the gospel with my family 26 years ago and I've loved and lived the teachings of the church ever since. I know in following the examples of prophets both modern day and ancient as found in the scriptures I can have true joy and peace in my life. Heavenly Father loves me and all of us and as I live the gospel of Jesus Christ great blessings have come into my life.

How I live my faith

Currently I have my favorite calling ever, which is to serve in the Young Women's youth program in our ward, which is for girls ages 12-18. I teach lessons on sundays and plan and participate in activites during the week that teach new skills, uplifting messages and values, and help build friendships among the girls. It's beautiful to watch them develop a love and testimony of our savior and be examples of good and kind friends to others. I try to be a good neighbor and friend to others. I am willing to help out wherever necessary by taking meals to the sick, taking care of pets or mail for those going out of town and making time to build friendships with those around me. I spend time volunteering in my children's classrooms by teaching an art class once a month and reading books to be approved by the library.
