Hi I'm L Dale

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, Besides being a Mormon. Ive spent my life as an Artist and a Scupltor. I don't do art and sculpting for a living, I would like it that way, however, that's not the way the world works. LOL I'm an equiptment operator specializating as a Crane operator. I like to hunt (with or without a gun) and fish, if I catch something that's alright too. Myself and my wife had 7 children, five boys and then two girls. I say, "had" because two of our boys, at different times, were called back to heaven. Hurts.

Why I am a Mormon

I was "born in the church", meaning that my parents were members of the Mormon church when I was born. However, being born in the church doesn't make a person a disciple of Christ. We each have to ferret out, with the help of the Holy Ghost, our own testimony of him. I was reading in one of our LDS Standard Works (Books) where it says that Moses went up on the mounain and talked to God face to face. I scarce could belive it. You know, we have heard of Moses and the burning bush, and God saying, "Moses put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is Holy Ground." I don't know why, but at that time of my life it just astounded me. Face to face! I said to my self, "Self, if Moses could talk to God face to face, he is not that much greater than my Dad, and my Dad is not that much greater than myself, so I am going to talk to God." After about a year and a half I finally reached the desired point in my life where I can talk to him. And what a blessing it has been in my life, and in the life of my family, to talk to him and get an answer, as they say now days, in "realtime"...

How I live my faith

And now, as I'm not all that swell with words, I would like to quote the text from one of our church hymns, written by one of my favorite Apostles, Elder Bruce R. McConkie. This song express exactly how I feel about Our Brother and Savior, Jesus Christ... I BELIEVE IN CHRIST I believe in Christ; he is my King! With all my heart to him I'll sing; I'll raise my voice in praise and joy, In grand amens my tongue employ. I believe in Christ; he is God's son. On earth to dwell his soul did come. He healed th sick; the dead he raised. Good works were his; his name be praised. I believe in Christ; oh, blessed name! As Mary's Son he came to reign 'Mid mortal men, his earthly kin, To save them from the woes of sin. I believe in Christ, who marked the path, Who did gain all his Father hath, Who said to men: "Come follow me, That ye, my friends, with God may be." I believe in Christ--my Lord, my God! My feet he plants on gospel sod. I'll worship him with all my might; He is the source of truth and light. I believe in Christ; he ransoms me. From Satan's grasp he sets me free, And I shall live with joy and love In his eternal courts above. I believe in Christ; he stands supreme! From him I'll gain my fondest dream; And while I strive through grief and pain, His voice is heard; "Ye shall obtain." I believe in Christ; so come what may, With him I'll stand in that great day When on this earth he comes again To rule among the sons of men. At this time I'm supposed to bear my testimony of Christ and I do. That He lives, that he can and will be as personal as we want him to be. As he states, "I stand at the gate and beckon."
