Hi I'm Jhona

I grew up in Lander, Wyoming. I'm a homeschooling Mom of 3, an Army wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the wife of a soldier. I'm the Mama of three beautiful children. Our oldest son has Asperger's Syndrome. Because of this, we decided to homeschool him. This led to our adventure in homeschooling all three of our children. We love it and this decision has allowed my husband and children to have more time together than they would otherwise. I enjoy writing, photography, music, playing games, blogging, and spending time with my family and friends. Autumn is my favorite season. I love the colors, sounds and smells of the season.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it feels like home to me. Right behind our house was a home full of the most beautiful and kind people I had ever known. They had so much love and so much fun. I would eventually learn that this family was Mormon. On Sunday afternoons I couldn't wait to spend the day with my sweet friends. In that house, I saw great love and I heard fascinating stories about Nephi and a boy named Joseph Smith. I became a Mormon as soon as I turned 18. I believed it then, but I wandered a bit. I strayed away from my beliefs for quite some time. Whenever I needed to regain my focus, my heart would always lead me back to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Although I wandered, because I was searching for a place to belong, I finally realized where my home had been the whole time. My whole childhood I spent feeling like a stranger. My whole young adulthood I spent feeling like a wanderer, until I remembered my home away from home. I am a Mormon because I know this is where I belong, because I know that I have a Forever Family, and because I believe it is true. I am a Mormon because it feels like home to me and I know that I am no stranger to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing to let my life be an example of Christ's love. I help with Activity Days every other Wednesday. It is so much fun helping these young girls learn about the Gospel and acheive their goals. I am always learning something new from them. I live my faith by participating in church activities and making sure that my children and family do as well. I live my faith by holding steadfast to my beliefs in the face of adversity. When people see my family, I hope they see the Light of the World and that we can share the Gospel with them.
