Hi I'm Joe Tenney

I'm an engineer, a maintenance worker, an artist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for nearly 30 years, to a beautiful sweetheart. We have 5 children, and 2 grandsons. We love to hike and climb, swim, and go on vacations as a family. We especially love the water and love to jump off the diving boards when we go to the public pools. We have a family owned business that has allowed us to work together and spend time together. One of the greatest benefits has been to "create" something together through work, and appreciate the results of our hard labor when we work for a common goal. We love to play games and watch old time movies together. Some of our favorite movies we have seen dozens of times. We are a sports minded family and love college football, especially BYU, and we love the Arizona Diamond Backs. I have had the privilege of being the male narrator for the Mesa Arizona Temple Easter Pageant "Jesus the Christ" for 13 years now. I have sung in a men's trio for 18 years. Our trio "Three2U" has had the opportunity to sing at countless functions, firesides, concerts, and political gatherings...including singing on the floor of the Arizona State Senate. Music has affected my life for good in ways that can't be described and has helped to strengthen my testimony that Christ lives, that He is the giver of all good gifts. LIfe is good, especially when we are with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always known the LDS Church is true. There has never been a time in my life that I can remember doubting the veracity of this restored truth! All my young years of growing up and attending primary, mutual, scouting functions, or any church activity, I have never doubted, but have known in my heart the teachings are true. Yes, I have met many imperfect people...I am one of them...but I have never confused the perfect teachings of the church with imperfect people. I am a Mormon because of how it has benefited and blessed every single aspect of my life. The places I have worked, the friends that I have and associate with, the successes that have come to me, and above all, my family that I am so blessed to be a part of, is because of my membership in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon me. There have been very difficult times in my life that I have been able to work through thanks to the teachings of the gospel and the blessings that come from living the precepts. In times of trouble I have sought the Lord and He has blessed me with his spirit to make it through. I owe all that I am, or that I have accomplished, to a loving Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by sharing it with others. I also try to teach and incorporate the gospel precepts into our daily living. This has blessed our family tremendously and has helped us as parents in raising our children. In our trio "Three2U" we sing a variety of songs, but all of them have affected us for good, or share a positive message, or have come to us in "hope" and lifting. www.three2u.com we count it as a ministry of music, using the gifts the Lord has given us to try and make the world a little bit better place to live.
