Hi I'm Spencer Crittenden

I grew up in Boston MA. I'm a general contractor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Boston MA. I moved around a lot as a kid. When I was 1 we moved to Germany for 3 years, then to Salt Lake City for 1 and then back to Germany for 2 more years. We moved back to Boston when I was 7. I lived there until I was 14 when we moved to Connecticut for a year. After that I moved to Chicago when I was 15 where I finished high school. I learned a lot as a kid as I moved around. I went to Brigham Young University where I studied construction management. I married my sweet wife in 2003 and we now have 4 kids. Being a dad is the high light of my life. I love spending time at home with my wife an kids. Currently I own a general contracting company that operates in the Phoenix Valley. My business partner and I also run a real estate brokerage, a shade sail company, and an online emergency preparedness company. We love living in Arizona. My family and I love to spend time outside enjoying the great outdoors. We love spending time on the water, be by boat or just swimming around.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and as such I grew up going to church with them. That in no way has affected my decision to be a Mormon. I know for myself that the church is true and that is why I attend. Through areful study and prayer I learned for myself that the church was true and that is what keeps me going. I have received so much joy in living the principles of the gospel that have been set forth before me. I know that as I follow the teachings of the prophets, read and study my scriptures, pray, and serve others that I will grow closer to my Heavenly Father. As I grow closer to my Heavenly Father I feel the spirit of the Lord in my life and it brings me great joy and peace. I always have a good perspective on life because I know where I come from and where I am going. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life. The knowledge of Christs sacrifice for me has helped me to understand that I can over come any weaknesses or hard ships that I may suffer. He died for me and has suffered all things. I know that I can rely on him for strength and peace. I am so grateful that I have a place of refuge that I can bring my kids. There are so many bad influences in the world today it helps me to feel good about my children's future knowing that they will grow up with an understanding of their Savior and his sacrifice for them. The church really has richly blessed my life and I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love living the gospel. This gospel is a gospel of service, and I love to serve. In my church I have the opportunity to work with the boys ages 16-19 years old. We have the opportunity to be able to work with them on a weekly basis. We do different activities that help them to learn about secular as well as religious things. It is a great blessing in my life to be able to work with these boys and to be able to see them grow up and become great young men, strong in the gospel. As I mentioned before I am a general contractor and as such I have an understanding of how things are built. As such it allows me to help others around me that need help fixing their homes. It truly is such a blessing to me in my life to be able to serve others. It helps me to create a love for all people around me.
